About the project

Number of Staff On-Site: Site Manager, site supervisor, full time porter, 7 on site staff with specialist visiting teams.
Contract Details: Full Facilities Management in the City Of London and Newcastle

Services Provided

Headquarters building serviced in Newcastle and additional building in the City of London of a large international Insurance House.

Duties include daily and periodic cleaning to all office areas, day janitor/porterage provision for high prestige meeting areas, daily cleaning to sanitary and shower rooms, kitchen/vending areas, large canteen area, washroom services, and washroom vending machines.

Waste management programme and full re-cycling programme. This operation is 7 days a week 363 days of the year. Full Works Facilities also carry out ad-hoc work building maintenance, annual PAT testing and carpet cleaning.

Why we were chosen

Full Works Facilities Management have had a working relationship with Insure the Box over the past 6 years starting off in the London offices and eventually being asked to take over the Newcastle site.

Having fully reviewed the current operation working closely with Insure The Box, a cost reduction was applied to the contract having improved productivity and enhanced the service overall.

We have an on-site Manager and a full time porter 7 days of the week, along with an early morning cleaning team.

Challenges / Problems Solved

When taking over the contract, we found that multiple services were provided by all different suppliers on different days and produced an awful lot of invoices and paperwork which were time consuming for the client and the accounts department. The Newcastle office is a large operation throughout the day and late evening.

Having a dedicated manager to work on site everyday has taken away the problems that were encountered and has provided a smooth running operation where any issues/problems are solved straight away and the contract runs efficiently and on a cost effective basis. By having the day to day contact with the client we are able to work hand in hand and resolve any issues that may arise in a prompt and efficient manner.

A bio-metric facial recognition box has been installed for signing in and security purposes, this also has heled with pay roll, holidays and any absenteeism.

Full Works Facilities Management has developed a close working relationship with the facilities team and has been able to meet the constantly changing needs of the property.

Full Works Facilities Management has adapted a flexible approach to meeting the resource needs. We remain very proactive in our approach to the client, constantly seeking different methods to retain “value for money”.
