Fullworks projects collaborated with United Living to execute essential fire stopping upgrades at Southend University, enhancing the passive fire protection measures across the campus.

This project had a specific requirement for the installation of particular fire stopping products. To ensure the highest standards of compliance and quality assurance, Fullworks projects engaged a third-party specialist. This specialist provided expert guidance during the installation process and conducted thorough inspections to sign off on the completed works, guaranteeing adherence to the client’s specifications and relevant fire safety regulations.

All fire stopping installations were completed to achieve a fire integrity rating of up to 90 minutes. Detailed product specifications were carefully obtained and strictly followed during the installation process, adhering to the manufacturers’ guidelines to ensure optimal performance in the event of a fire.

Following comprehensive site surveys, Fullworks projects worked closely with United Living throughout the project lifecycle. This collaborative approach facilitated effective planning, seamless execution, and ultimately, the successful completion of this critical phase of fire safety upgrades at Southend University.

The quality of the work delivered and the collaborative partnership established have led to Fullworks projects being requested to undertake phase 2 of the fire stopping upgrades within the university campus.
