Fullworks projects, specialists in passive fire protection, were commissioned by CBRE, a leading global real estate services firm, to conduct a comprehensive fire stopping survey at Vinters Place, a multi- storey commercial building located in London. The survey identified numerous non-conformities within the existing fire stopping systems, indicating that they no longer met current fire safety regulations and presented a potential risk to the building’s occupants.

Following the detailed survey, Fullworks projects developed a strategic plan of action to address the identified deficiencies. Subsequently, we were tasked with carrying out the essential penetration sealing works required to upgrade the building’s fire protection to current standards.

A critical initial step involved the complete removal of all existing fire stopping systems that were deemed outdated and non-compliant with current regulations. This was a meticulous process to ensure a clean and suitable substrate for the new fire protection measures.

Recognizing that Vinters Place is a multi-storey, multi-occupied building, close liaison with all relevant stakeholders was paramount. Fullworks projects worked diligently to coordinate access and schedule the works in a manner that minimised disruption to the building’s occupants and operations.

The fire stopping upgrade was primarily achieved through the installation of certified fire-rated batt and mastic systems, selected for their proven performance and compliance with the latest industry standards. This extensive project spanned six months and required the full cooperation and commitment of our entire workforce, working in close collaboration with CBRE to ensure successful completion and adherence to the agreed timelines. The successful outcome of this project significantly enhanced the fire safety of Vinters Place, bringing it in full compliance with current regulations and providing a safer environment for all occupants.
